"What's it all about?"
RPG2 is my current Death March project. "What's a Death March project?" Well, it's a project that has no determinable end; ie: I just keep going and going not knowing if I'm ever actually done or not. I started an RPG before this one, but it was terribly coded, so I started all over and this one is coded much nicer. I actually think this is one of my finer pieces of work, coding style and idea wise. This is also where PIe Script came from. I was trying to make a nice scripting language for my game, and then I realized that it would be much too big of a project simply to make part of a different project, so I seperated the two. Also, this project currently has no real name, that's why it's named RPG2.    The source still contains very old versions of PIe Script that have even more bugs than the script now does and even less features. This particular source is horribly commented and unless you're willing to look at everything as a whole, very little of it will probably make sense. However, if you're looking for some good classes and junk, check it out.
You can control the main character with the directional keys. Exit the game with the 'esc' key, don't use the X on the window, it won't close properly.
"Show me screenshots!"
These screenshots are taken at different times of the day (in the game) and, as you can see, the entire screen changes accourding to the time of day, a pretty neat effect in my opinion. Also, this map that the screenshots are taken off of is just complete nonsense, don't try to make sense of it; I mean, there's a waterfall coming out of nowhere."Well, how far are you on it?"
RPG2 Project Status:    RPG2 is in a pre-Alpha stage, so about 7% done.
Known Bugs:
» Collision detection doesn't work properly if you press enough keys fast enough.
» The scripting is simply terrible.
» You can walk off the map.
"Fine, now download it!"
So I've interested you, huh? Well feel free to download the below if you want the program for your own. It comes with source and binary. It does not come with the Allegro DLL so you'll have to run this dll checker and updater to get it. Also, it does not come with the MSVC Runtime DLL, so you'll have to download this and put either in the folder where the program or, reccomended, your system folder. Download RPG2 below:RPG2: 157KB
