What is it?   |   Screenshots!   |   Progress?   |   Download!

"What's it all about?"

Starz is a super-simple example of 3D drawing done in C/C++ with the Allegro library. I'd not reccomend this is you're not farmiliar with Allegro, because it probably won't make much sense. However, if you're very farmiliar with Allegro and pretty farmiliar with the basic concept of 3D drawing, I'd suggest checking out the Allegro examples instead of this. This is basically just like the Windows Starfield screensaver, but it's cooler; because... I made it, and... because it's open source... and... it's got colored stars! Enjoy!
You can control the star speed using the 'z' and 'x' keys. As with most of my programs, you can press 'esc' to exit quickly and cleanly, but if it gets stuck or something, you can use Alt-Ctrl-Delete, but it's better if you don't.

"Show me screenshots!"

The screenshots aren't too impressive because 3D like this can't have a picture really taken of it, but I took two in case you really care.

"Well, how far are you on it?"

Starz Project Status:
    Starz is 100% complete.

Known Bugs:
» It has a bug at the startup that draws the stars funny, but it straightens itself out

"Fine, now download it!"

So I've interested you, huh? Well feel free to download the below if you want the program for your own. It comes with source and binary. It does not come with the Allegro DLL so you'll have to run this dll checker and updater to get it. Download Starz below:
